Mr. Michael Morissette

I was born and raised in Upper Michigan and lived there for the first 32 years of my life.  I graduated with a BS in Secondary Education Mathematics from Northern Michigan University in 2002, MS in Mathematics Education from NMU in 2010, and taught middle school and high school math for 9 years in a "normal" brick and mortar school in the UP. In 2012, I moved to the Greater Lansing Area to pursue my doctorate in Mathematics Education at Michigan State University.  After defending my dissertation this past summer, I applied and was hired at Great Lakes Cyber Academy to teach math. In my free time, I enjoy collecting shiny coins, watching the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Tigers, assorted shows on the Travel Channel and History Channel, playing video games, hiking, and fishing.  When I'm home, I'm a glorified servant to two bossy cats.
